I too will be a likely consumer of the JAZ 1-gigabyte drives and disks.
I've been very pleased with ZIP drive -- it is really well-designed, the setups are virtually
transparent. Most people I talk to have expressed the same feelings.
Iomega's third quarter capacity increased almost three fold and they are
expecting to double again by the end of the year (though I understand
that they are still hampered by component shortages.
As for Syquest, they are done, finished. Put a fork in em. I would
guess that Iomega's real challenge will now be in how they are able to position
themselves vis-a-vis the Seagate-Conner Peripherals giant.
