There was more than one paper presented at the Vancouver AIDS conference demonstrating the efficacy of the AZT,3TC, PI "cocktail." I would refer you to their homepage but the extracts are no longer available.

However, there was an excellent article in the June 14 edition of the Wall Street Journal. (p.1 col. 6: "New Drug 'Cocktail' Marks Exciting Turn In the War on AIDS") David Ho, MD, of the Aaron Diamond Center in New York is quoted as having used 3TC in his triple drug "cocktail," the results of which attracted widespread attention.

Another related article is found in the July 11 edition of the Wall Street Journal (p.B1 col.3: "AIDS 'Cocktail' May Turn Glaxo Drugs Into Gold").

I agree that this company may be already fully or over-valued given the market and the arrangement with Glaxo. I disagree that the increasingly competitive PI market will cause an implosion of this drug's use. Regards
