1. Computer Task Group (TSK); 2. Chrysler (C)
TSK 36 7/8, + 1 1/4. I don't know enough about TSK to call it a long-term strong buy. I do know management is very smart. CEO is a woman, by the way. Also, the trend towards IS (Information Systems) outsourcing is here to stay, in my opinion. I'm unclear as to their mkt share, strengths, and weaknesses in relation to their competitors, though.
----- C 33 3/8, unch. Chrysler is a long-term investment of mine. Dividend is 1.40/yr and may increase; yield is currently 4.19%. In my opinion, Chrysler is the best-managed car company in the world (Toyota comes close), and the best of the big 3 to invest in. Management is brilliant. Time-to-market from a car's development stage is among the best in the world auto industry.
Company is consistently the most innovative - Neon, Minivans, driver's side minivan sliding door, Dodge Viper, Ram truck, Plymouth Prowler, etc. Company has $8 billion in cash to weather the next recession. C also pursuing developing export mkts where their cars are a hit. For example, Neons making a splash in Japan. Chrysler Concorde is one of the most popular cars in Taiwan. Jeep sport-utes are a hit overseas.
