Roger I am wondering to what extent someone with smarts, familiarity with technology, and entrepreneurial spirit, but little experience in matters of business management, direct hands-on tech experience, & matters of financing, marketing, etc., can get involved in this. In other words is there opportunity for someone who cannot offer you much in the way of direct credentials but who sees opportunities all the time to 'dip a toe in' and get involved 'a little bit' by identifying how existing growth areas could be financed & marketed better by a company dedicated to excellence & innovation in the emerging area...?

Basically I think a lot of us have ideas but IMO these new spin-off companies might have to go out and buy up the talent that is already out there working on these things...so financing and MARKETING are paramount.

Remember MSFT: QDOS was a piddly little program. Gates had average technological expertise and no business credentials. But Gates had a marketing genius and never looked back. I say you need marketing geniuses, closely followed by people who can get financing.

Just 2c from someone who has no credentials in any of the required fields...but plenty of ideas...
