Larry, I should note that besides just Bob's market timing he has added considerable value in his model portfolios in the past. When I first began listening to him and finally began to seriously follow his advice and get his newsletter it was in the early 1990s. At the time he made recommendations to be allocated into a New Asia (ex Japan) fund and a specific International fund Even though I was in a little late from his first recommendation, I recall making over 50% in the New Asia fund and a ton in the International fund in what seemed like a very short period of time. Since those days the world markets have become much more correlated with the US and now offer little diversification.

FWIW I will not be making any statements until several days after any Brinker market calls out of respect for his intellectual property rights. His newsletter has remained at $185 for as long as I can remember and is extremely inexpensive IMO compared to most other letters from people who have reached "guru" status and have a significant following
