anything can happen, but management has consistently guided analysts in a forthright manner. There have been no earning surprises in the past, and CPQ has too much at stake (reputation-wise) to be off more than a few cents on earning projections. The good news is: CPQ is having a fantastic quarter, inventories are low and Alta-Vista may be spun off. They are also digesting Digital Eq. as expected, and have taken a quantum leap into the major leagues with the addition of Tandem and D.E.. The chart looks great/excellent management/and in Japan, the favorite (and best-selling)lap-tops are Compaq's product line - that tells us something......good luck with all your trades.....
