I've downloaded the SpaceAce program. It seems to work OK. They say the 'advertising' stops once you register. It creates a log of what gets deleted.

Looking at the stuff 'flagged' on my system, it seemed to go after the system backup files Win98 keeps around, temporary files, stuff used once at setup and left behind. All together it found 20 meg of stuff.

The decision I face now: Does 21meg of disk space justify $49?
