Well Excuuuse Me! You should care if I get your point, we are here to educate each other, right? I stand corrected on everything except the best buy for the money part. A 166 Pentium is not a better buy than a 200 PPro, at todays prices. The price difference is more than acceptable considering the performance difference, especially if you are buying a new system (no need to recyscle memory). Not only does this make marketing sense from INTC's perpsective (to keep Cyrix, IBM, and AMD away), the numbers prove it. Go shopping and you will see. You will see yourself upgrading a P166 way berfore you see yor self upgrading a PPro 200, all for a difference in price of about $200 (I just went shopping for a new motherboard).
