Well, it doesn't have anything to do with our discussion on Renewable Energy. But, it seems the Democrats are more concerned with his conservative idealogy than his racial background. I'm not sure where you are getting that from? As if the lilly-white WASPy Republican party hasn't had it's own run-ins with race relations? Race is a tricky issue to mix with politics. I think idealogy has more to do with politics than race. There are black and hispanic Republicans, because they are conservatives. I think the judge is being oppossed because of his conservative idealogy, not racial background.
