Thanks for the bigger picture perspective. I still thnk there has been a divergence lately. Look at the 100-day comparison chart and you will see that if you bought equal amounts of HLIT and ORTL in late May, you would show a 70% profit on ORTL and a loss of 20% on your HLIT holding.

Also, there is the difference in valuations that I referred to in my first post: Looking at their respective P/S and P/E ratios, Ortel gets much higher multiples...and maybe they deserve it...what do I know?

I'm trying to find a good reason that their stock prices should have become decoupled as they have recently. Otherwise, if the correlation is going to hold, I can tell you one thing for absolute certain:

Either it's time to buy HLIT, or its time to sell ORTL.
Ah, but which?
