My own experience with options is that it adds a problem to an existing problem. The existing problem is WHICH stock is going to go up (or down, as with puts or shorting). Options add the "when" problem. My own advice is IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY, buy the stock. Then you can afford to let it ride if it doesn't move as fast or as far as you expect (does it ever?). With options, you have decay of the premium and the timing factors are harder. Just one man's opinion.
