SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 1999--Facts Online announced that 213 U.S. technology companies qualified as "hot" during March 1999.

Of March's 213 companies, 48% are privately owned and 52% are public. March's companies are headquartered in 28 states. However only 5 states contain
63.4% the headquarters: California (31.9%), Massachusetts (10.3%), New York (9.9%), Texas (6.1%) and New Jersey (5.2%).

To qualify, companies must have received new investments or made major acquisitions during March. Examples of new investments include venture capital fundings,
