Zvi - don't know what to say re: insider sales - but there are any number of reasons that people sell personal assets to get cash. Your doubting stance towards SCNG may - as you say - be the result of bad experience in other but similar investments. On the other hand - as a non sophisticated investor - who has spent a fair amount of time in research on SCNG - I believe that the single largest component of due diligence is to differentiate risk from scam. I have simply come to the conclusion that Laurence Osterwise - the projected CEO - did not come to Scangraphics for the pleasure of scamming us out of money and ruin an otherwise prestigious career for himself in the process.
