No, but we also shouldn't be paying them to make a bunch of assumptions and write stories based on them, rather than actually doing some real investigative work. Anyway, I don't pay The Street for anything. I have a problem with their sensationalistic style. It seems to be more about getting attention for themselves than about what's actually going on.
As for the lack of detail on their plans to raise cash, well, people were complaining about that when Wendt came on board. Articles in The Street indicated that this was extremely suspicious and that it was highly unlikely Conseco would be able to make its debt payments.
However, those payments were made (following the restructuring of the debt), and that in fact the debt was bought back more quickly than originally forecast.
How is the current situation any different or worse, materially, from the situation when Wendt took over? That isn't a rhetorical question. If there's something other than "they haven't told us what they're planning exactly", I'd like to hear it.
