Duncan, thanks for the tip. The article is quite a switch from the bashing of internet trading that has been in vogue the past year. I checked my old connection to the NY Times at:

nytsyn.com

It doesn't seem to be there anymore.

I notice from reading the signup agreement that the Times may start charging sometime for access to their website - or at least parts of it. I wonder when that might happen? It seems many news organizations are eager to give away connections for free these days. I wonder if they'll ever try to make money from the web someday? The San Jose Mercury seems to be the only one that is truly serious about charging for connection.
