Wolfgang, my expertise is in investing, my science knowlege is self taught and I do not profess to being an expert. With that caveat, your expaination is consistent with my understanding. While repair of the p53 and related cancer suppressor genes would be an accomlishment of enormous magnitude I believe it is many years away. Sometimes I think it is erroneous to think of cancer as a single disease. More like a family of different diseases. In many of these cancers I believe it is the expression of a particular gene or series of genes which is the root of the problem. The ability to shut down the expression of these genes will be critical. V1
