Please disregard: rebooting a 3rd time seems to have fixed it. Original Problem: Clicking Icons on desk top does nothing. Clicking Icons on desk top does nothing: double clicking on any file in Windows Explorer works fine. I have the latest MS Media Player set as the default. I also have the latest Real Player. I'm running XP Pro. My Verizon (A)DSL is very fast. I use a Westell modem and this PC is hardwired into a Linksys wireless router. I use the latest McAfee virous scan and fire wall. It was fine yesterday. All patches/Updates to all the above have been applied. Any thoughts? btw, I am the Admin of this PC thanks
