Paul, The EMIS lesson is a good one. EMIS has great ideas on oral drugs, but the drug manufactures don't care how it's administered. It's not their arm or leg that has to get punctured daily. They make money however the drug is given. This thread's comments about the difficulty of getting the majors on board is a good one. The biggies have their HIV drugs. They really don't care if someone has a better system because it's only the money that moves them. The only thing that can change that is if it becomes clear that PRLN will deliver superior therapy and displace them. PRLN will probably have to posture itself to sell its drugs which could put the others out of business before anything serious will occur with partnerships. The more we walk this logic through, the better feeling I am getting for the difficulty of PRLN becoming successful.
