First off, I know how hard it is to design and implement software systems. I would like to thank you and the folks at SI for doing your best to work on the design and functionality of the product, a system that so many people use and enjoy.

New features often take time to work out the "kinks". Believe me when I say that your job is rarely easy. Each user has his or her own concept of how the system should look and function. From novice computer/mobile users to people like myself, who've sat in front of computers for 40 years (or more), there's no way to get a system that will make everyone happy.

I would assume that your system is now being used on just as many mobile devices as desktop and laptop computers. There is a big challenge to make the system work well under the many different platforms that are accessing it!

With this in mind, I STRONGLY suggest that you take note of the people who've complained or commented about the length at the header of each and every page. While having your company banner clear and obvious is critical, the less space it takes up on the top of any screen is becoming more and more important. Likewise, the threader headers also need to be minimal. You can easily add the same information on a line versus a box. I believe that would reduce the number of people "crying foul".

You may not think that having the information on a single line "looks" as nice but the user functionality of having to scroll down extra "inches" (just to get to the area where they can see what they are looking for) is both a pain in the butt and a time waster. Not to mention that creating extra effort is NOT what you (as the software designer) should be making any of us users do.

Please listen to the many people who've commented and try to adjust your approach. At least that's my advice, should you choose to listen to it.

Once again, I thank you for your efforts. I'm sure that you will continue to improve the performance and ease of use.
