ed..yes..books say diversify. I think it works against you bec. if you learn a stock then you will time 4-6 out of 10. lately I've timed atmel about 9 out of 10.
with the right stock your strategy could work. with the volitility of atml I would be nervous. it can go from 33 to 23 in one cycle.
of course if you own the stock then the loss is close to the same.
the deep in the money is okay. But, since I have market maker cash I take the safest play. We aren't the pros like specialist. but if we do one stk we can handle just like the mm becasue it's possible.
chen says some mm's do 60 stocks.. that would flatten me.

we need to help educate on how to use options. to the gamblers say no to the people who just think they kknow what we are talking about.......continue to drive what cc startegy is all about with the strangles
