Jim, I certainly do not base my views of Q on IBD articles(LOL). Been around too long and thru way too much with Q to do that. I simply take in all the facts I can garner from what I read from informed intelligent posters here and elsewhere. Whether they are the facts I want to hear or not. I have learned the hard way to accept the facts as they are especially the ones I don't want to hear.

So having said that based on the facts presented I don't think Q is in the wcdma lead but will be soon. I don't beleive anybody is in the HSDPA lead since handsets might not show up till end of 05 beginning of 06. Plus I don't think HSDPA is the isssue at hand at this time.
WCDMA is all that matters right now. As long as WCDMA ramps accordingly and the major GSM carriers such as DOCO, VOD and CHINA Mobile begin converting, and Q takes it's expected lead position. Q is heading for another split in the next 12 months.
Not to mention if their display technology gives them a cost and technological advantage over the competition as the cellphone morphs into an all purpose device for audio, video, data and communication.
