She preferred to drive. Or rather, that I drive.

They used to have a line called Arcadian Rail that left Penn Station in NYC and ran attached to Amtrak up along the Hudson, across to Albany through Saratoga and under Montreal. It was a series of old Budd Cars that were restored.

From there you stayed in Montreal then continued to St. John's, I think it was. We left the train in Montreal and flew back a few days later. Quite a nice trip.

However I think the company went out of business. I was going to go up on Amtrak but when my wife decided to come along the arrangement was to drive.

Hoping for as little snow as possible.
