Fishing for high yields can be dangerous. High yields are there for a reason, and not because they're attractive.

I'm old enough to have seen yields remain constant or go down, actually, with price. Lower earnings translate into dividend cuts or outright elimination.

If it will make you feel any better, I bought some too at 18.65 for the same reason you did......that dividend. Much better than GE's common yield to Warren Buffett on his cost basis (of about $21 per share). :-)
