Sire, I'm no lawyer, but let me see if I can explain
what Lisa is talking about.

Let's say that you invented something. Let's say
that before you patented it, I suggested a modification
to it, a very small modification. Now, let's say
this invention was mass produced and sold to the public.
Let's say you became a millionaire. Let's say that
my insignificant modification was determined to
affect the performance in a way that possibly
would have affected the sales of this device.

Now, let's say that you didn't tell me that you
were going to use my modification and my name was not
on the patent for this device.

I believe I could probably sue you in court for
using my modification without my permission.
