People have always elected people like that.
In the aggregate, people are electing better leaders as they become more educated and the females are liberated.
IMO, today's house of Representatives is the smartest and most humane in history.
For contrast, look how the south, the least educated part of the country, constantly elects brain dead unethical criminals to the congress.
