Eddie,
I am not a day trader, only trade say 4 times a month. I like Waterhouse service, especially the low margin requirement for options plays ($250 per contract versus $1000 at Fido, $250 per CallSpread versus $10K initial req from Fido). However, I can't stand the slowness of the supposedly new and improved WebBroker. Gimme back the plain but fast graphics of WebBroker5&6. And yes, I have missed windows of opportunities for trades that cost me thousands of $$ due to being hold in "pending" state. (Last Dec, on expiration day, the Jan CREAF 20 put was priced at $2 7/8 when I attempted to sell it. By the time the order was accepted some 15 minutes later, the price was reduced to $2, which for a 20 contract order is worth $1750 less.) But you are right, we get what we are paying for, and over all, I am still a happy customer. |
