Divicom customers are going to spend some money.............. tvbroadcast.com . The last hurdle for consumers to say 'I'm not ready to make the jump to satellite' is the local channels," he said. "We've solved all the other issues. We got prices down, and got more programming than on most cable systems. The only thing remaining is local channels. We think this would allow the benefits of satellite TV as a competitive alternative, to be the choice of many more consumers. But it doesn't come without expense. We and EchoStar have spent over a billion dollars to get the spectrum to do this. And we are spending many more dollars to implement it."
