Stitch, OTOT ** it's Friday, OK! *** this old geezer is disappointed
with the speed of the budget inkjet color printers. I still have an
Epson dot matrix printer (LQ570, still available for about $250!).
Today I tested a few inkjets at Fry's. The ads said 3-4 ppm color.
I timed them printing the demo and all took between 1 1/2 and 2 minutes per page.

Of local interest: Fry's in Sunnyvale was by itself just off Lawrence
Expressway for a few years. The parking lot was always full (too small). Then Japanese-owned T-zone opened a store across the street.
They got a little overflow business, but never appealed to the nerds.
A few months ago Fry's moved a few blocks to a larger store with a
giant parking lot. T-zone now has a liquidation sale. Without Fry's
as the attractant, they just don't get customers of their own.<gloat>

Saw a Maxtor drive in a box with 3-step easy installation instructions
right on the box. Clever.
