<<Is Barcelona as beautiful as I have heard?>>

Like I said, it was 30 years ago. But compared to Paris it was cleaner, except for the water, and had more trees, grass and plazas. We stayed in the city but I'm sure the new hotels built for the Olympics are nicer and have better water, no sand in it.

In those days it was pretty laid back. Everybody slept between 1 and 3 in the afternoon. The open air market, all under tents, was interesting. Rabbits and squirrels were skinned hand hung but the heads were left on. Live eels crawled across ice in tubs. If it flew, swam or walked you could buy it there.

We were there 4 nights and ate at the same place every night, the only one we could find. I ordered 4 different meals and they all had rabbit or squirrel, eggs and beef, but they varied on how much of which one from meal to meal. Not that I minded.
