Are not Russian efforts to charge Ukraine full market prices for gas similar to what the US supported IMF has done many times when extending financial aid -- namely ending or reducing subsidies on things like food, electricity, and fuel? Maybe the anti-Russian Ukranians can ask Greenie to run the printing presses a little faster to pay the bills.
