As an illustration of the power of the Leftist mind virus Saskatchewan held our election last night. The Socialists (NDP) gained 13 seats (doubled their total) and reduced the Sask Party (the righties) to a much smaller majority. The Sask Party has been in power for 25 years. This is the thinnest majority in that time and heads will probably roll. Big rural and City split. Same as in many places. I am glad the Sask Party won as I may have moved if they did not.

Prior to the Sask Party we had basically 30-40 years of NDP rule. The province was a waste land and was referred to as the "Gap". The gap between Ontario and the West. Nobody came here and nobody stayed. To me, it is truly unbelievable that people are so easy to forget.

I can still remember when the Sask Party first won. It kicked off a generation of prosperity that the Province has never seen. We were travelling home from a trip one day and we happened to pass a convoy of trucks on the highway. As I drove past I noticed the names on the trucks. Schlumberger. I turned to my wife and said now it's going to change.
