IMHO mid year next year will be too late if you want to catch the bottom. If you don't care about catching the bottom then it doesn't matter. We all have our own trading styles!

I listen to all comments by reasoned individuals and do my own DD. I have three friends who are Full service brokers who have tried to land me for their accounts for years but they don't offer me any value. Do I hate them or distrust them...No. But I understand where they are coming from. I've told them many times if they can make me more money then I would move some their way but so far I have been fortunate in outperforming their trading accounts.

I get the feeling that you have been burned by a broker sometime in the past. We all have to take these things on their merits. They still have a lot of good information. No one is immune to making mistakes as I've made a few in the past.

Fortunately for me in the last 12 years or so I have had only one money losing investment in equities. Will that hold true in the future? I don't know. All I can do is try to improve my decision making process as it has changed a lot over the last 30 plus years.
