"Some "savant" on this thread has predicted AMD will $48.50/share any day now - for the past 365 days ! "

I assume you are referring to Niceguy. You two are at opposite ends of the spectrum....both from an AMD stance and from a personality perspective. I hope that you don't feel it necessary to protect us from Niceguy. Anyone who can read realizes that he is a die hard AMD supporter and we all know him to be the utmost optimist when it comes to AMD. Niceguy always seems to support his end of the spectrum with pleasant type and often some hype....a likeable gent. You Paul, however, are an ardent AMD basher and exude hatred from your pores. Other readers here know that you will never say a nice thing about AMD and are therefore biased at the opposite end of the AMD rope from Niceguy. Thankfully we all know this too.

AMD was given a golden opportunity to exhibit a competitive product. If the product is good enough then OEM's will build to suit, IT personnel will clammer to differentiate themselves, word of mouth begins to raise the AMD flag to new levels of support. Intel has good products....AMD has good products. AMD has more room to grow in under poor market conditions than Intel IMO.

Do you truly doubt that AMD has a quality product? Do you truly feel that P4 met expectations in the marketplace? Do you really believe that AMD will be a non-factor in the server and mobile markets? I am not taunting you Paul.....just conversing....I really am curious.

Intel already has everything....therefore has everything to lose. Each hiccup from the Intel camp should be pounced on by the AMD camp.
