I haven't seen anybody buying a licence from QUALCOMM for OFDM, such as Flarion, or the WiFi merchants, so the patents can't be all that important.

As we know from the VW-40, aka W-CDMA, aka 3GSM, aka UMTS, crowd with their many patents all over CDMA, it's quality, not quantity that matters.
