Hey, guess what,

I bought my first K6-2-400Mhz last week. If those chips already make it to Belgium, this means they have quit a lot of them. Usually we are in third place to receive new products.

The first ones go to OEM's, then to the US retail market and then to Europe.

As a "screwdriver shop" I paid about 280$ for it. I think the distributor has about 10% on it and there might be an import duty of 14%. Take in some smaller costs like shipping and insurance and you come up with a price of around 200$.

If they can do this in quantity, it will make a lot of difference for there ASP.

Greetings,

Bert
