El,

Is there even a remote possibility that HPQ will unlock some value to the shareholders by spinning off one division or another... pcs, imaging, storage, etc. or is that too much to hope for???

Only when they want to admit that the acquisition was a failure. Those spin-offs were all part of the strategies that were discussed beforehand (and proposed in part by WH). To do so now would be to admit that the CPQ acquisition was not the best way to build shareholder value and that the other alternatives were better.

The spin-offs (among other activities) were what the HWP shareholders were hoping for without the CPQ acquisition. Welcome to the HPQ family!

Dave
