12/12/14 Contest update
Seven contestants found their thrill on BLUEberry Hill this week. Is one of them this guy? youtube.com
However, despite our Blue Man Group’s efforts, the Contest median was still down a bit for the week. At Friday’s close, the Contest median closed up 13.09% YTD (vs. up 13.54% YTD a week ago), while the larger-cap Nasdaq Biotech Index, closed up 35.16% YTD (vs. up 36.22% YTD a week ago) and the Nasdaq Composite Index closed up 11.42% YTD (vs. up 14.47% YTD a week ago).
BLUE skies were smiling especially widely at DEWDIL’s portfolio, as it soared into the Contest lead with a 134.59% YTD gain. DEWDIL’s portfolio got an additional big boost from the week’s No. 5, gainer, TGTX. Also holding both BLUE & TGTX, DOUGH’s portfolio, up 113.91% YTD, was catapulted into second place, with DIEGO’s portfolio, up 100.54% YTD, slipping to third place.
At Friday's close, 31 of the 46 Contest portfolios were in the black, while 17 of the 46 were beating the NBI. The median Contest portfolio stock (ARRY) is down -2.99% YTD.
Below is the Top Ten list. Also below are the Top 5 & Bottom 5 Stocks ranked by % Gained and % Lost for the week. (Prices not converted to US$ in these Tables.)
Portfolio adjustments: None
(All corrections, especially adjustments for splits, greatly appreciated.)
Have a relaxing weekend biotechies!
Peace & good health,
Bulba
