TO ALL ! ! ! !

Spoke with Marlene Lockard this afternoon. NIce lady As I had suspected the article resulted from the State legislature including a "line item" in the proposed annual budget for the Y2K problem fix.

The result was "Hey, whatever happened to that test you were doin' last year with company from Californea', Mandingo or Mariachi". Forgive me it's been a LLLLOOONNNGG day.

Anyhow not much else. Still very guarded about information she gives, but my guess is they just haven't finalized a deal yet. What's the reason, you decide.

She did say that the ball was in their court and they are waiting for M/D to get back to them, with what she didn't say. More fixed code, a counter offer, who knows.

For whatever it's worth that's what I got for my dime.

Have a good night.

D/D

P.S. The "Federal" funds mentioned in the article is to those State agencies that already receive Federal subsidies, Uncle Sam will kick in their share for the fix.
