From Goldman Sach report, dated March 5, 2002:

"McData followed up on its patent infringement lawsuit against Brocade's use of frame filtering technology with a request last night for a preliminary injunction. While we believe this will likely lead to a series of strong statements from both parties, we do not expect this to change what is happening in the market. Brocade believes that prior art exists for this technology both in its previous generation ASICs and also in the date networking world and that it also has rights to McData's patents via a cross-licensing agreement. Since the initial patent infringement suit was filed, we have heard of no OEM changes towards Brocade and as such, we buy the stock on weakness brought on behalf by the lawsuit."
