My sentiments exactly. Everyone knows about the ISSI story regarding their fast memory technology. They used to have a load of cash (maybe they still do, haven't looked recently). They have an equity interest in a new fab which will be a "hidden asset" over the long term. The stock got hot recently, and with all of the M&A activity in the semiconductor industry, well I suspect something is cooking. It has been a dog for earnings, but this is more than SRAM prices firming. This might be a good strategic acquisition in terms of technology, but also the relationship the company enjoys with Taiwan foundaries and others close to the Chinese market.
