PUBLIC: The latest P/E CHART BOOK and EARNINGS MONTH (featuring "Squiggles")
are both updated with March data and posted on the STOCKLAB page. Many tech
investors believe that the tech wreck can't get much worse because analysts
have slashed earnings expectations so much already. They might be right, but
the 35% plunge in 2001 expectations since the start of last year is still
not as bad as the downward revisions of 42%, 43%, and 36% during previous
bad squiggles of 1991, 1992, and 1993. The latest two EARNINGS WEEK review
health care and basic materials.

OSCARS: My picks are "Gladiator" and Russell Crowe for best film and actor.
(Please: not Tom Hanks again!) Benicio Del Toro ("Traffic") is my choice for
best supporting actor. (My second choice is Mr. Wilson, the basketball in
"Cast Away."). Joan Allen ("The Contender") deserves best actress. (Please:
not Julia!) Best foreign flick: "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon."
