one new player in Canada for trading US stocks is Interactive Brokers Canada Inc. based out of Montreal.. You might want to check them out.. Very low commissions but downside is you can't trade canadian stocks at this time.. Although I have opened an account, I have not tried them out quite yet so take this comment FWIW..
