As I am sure that Paul will tell you, AMD announced that the Palominos will require a new spin to exceed 1.2GHz. Also, Hammers were delayed until 2005 so that they "could add a bunch of new features". In addition, Intel demonstrated that Northwood now has the same IPC as an Athlon and that the 2.5GHz version with PC1066 RDRAM is almost 4 times as fast as a 1.5GHz Athlon. Intel also says "yields are in the high 90's and more than 80% are binning out at 3GHz". Oh yeah, Intel has also fixed the SMT features of the the P4 and Foster...
