Idiot analyst got it wrong. WDC is still the 50% customer, not MXTR. Which means that there's still significant probability that RDRT's numbers can fall off a cliff due to IBM-WDC deal.

This is what is holding up other analysts upgrades IMHO.

I am not so sure that WDC is still (as of today) a 50% customer. About a month ago, I attempted to verify a statment that was posted over at Yahoo that Maxtor had taken over the #1 customer spot. All Jane Conn would tell me is that "WDC is still a very important customer". She would not deny that Maxtor had taken over the number one spot. In any event it looks like RDRT may ship GMR to Maxtor and Samsung in March.

It is also possible that GMR will not be the "sweet spot" for the March Qtr. Jane Conn told me about two weeks ago that RDRT thinks 4.3GB will be the "sweet spot" for the march qtr.
