The danger-which Breyer and the others should realize-is not to their seats or the nation itself, but to the authority of the Court in the longer term. The Court has sanctioned mass murder of the unborn and official racism. America hasn't changed it's attitude nor its desire for self-determination without decrees from a quasi-emperor. The conflicting pressures eventually resolve. Breyer should fear that day...
