It is interesting that Pezz, the super-bull, is making very good money but Jay the bear is also making a noticeable amount of money. So everybody is making money despite the disparate opinions. Something to be learned from this? I think that its merely a case of not defining our terms clearly. Bull and bear seem to refer only to the US market. I'm a bull on real estate stocks of Europe and Canada, and also Jay's favorites i.e. precious metals, oil,gas and coal stocks outside the US and stocks of booming China, in descending order. To my amazement all these categories did very well in 2003. I hang out a sign "Pupil of Jay Chen" which I think should impress people at the right cocktail parties. A primary lesson from Jay is: choose your categories correctly and then diversify within the categories. I suspect that Pezz will discover that US stocks under the present administration are the wrong category before it is generally known and thus escape more or less whole.
