There has never been a prosperity that wasn't accompanied by deficits. Every economic disaster (including the last 4 years of Clinton/Rubin) have been characterized by surpluses and charlatans (like Clinton and Rubin) bullshitting the ignorant about how "wonderful" these deflationary policies are. The wisest (and ONLY effective) economic policy a government (ANY government) can follow is to ignore deficits and give the money they have stolen from their people BACK to them.
