DVD sales are soaring through September. According to CEMA, for the week ending Sept, 3, 1999, month-to-date DVD players sales reached 47,660, a 385.8 percent increase from 1998. Projection television sales are also on the rise having reached 25,963, a 14 percent increase. Year-to-date DVD player sales are just shy of 2 million at 1,919,516, a 324.6 percent increase from 1998 and projection television sales are 676,055, a nine percent increase.
