And it's very likely that photographers who have high-end cameras don't mind carrying iBooks or PowerBooks. The reason I am looking into this in the first place negates your statement. My gal is off to distant lands, with high-end cameras (yes, plural), soon. She needs back-up. She is not taking a laptop. Makes no sense to take it where she is going. She could use an iPod, for entertainment and image back-up. But, the iPod's power management sucks, to the point of unsuitability.
