I'm sitting here watching the market collapse, and AMAT is still, still, still holding at 40..........I'm wondering if I'm ever going to buy any this downcycle......so may good stocks out there, at capitulations prices, if AMAT continues to hold up, I'll be just as happy to own NTAP and CSCO and TXN.........those stocks are as thoroughly hated now, as AMAT was at the 1996 bottom.......and their longterm prospects just as good.........at this point, I really don't care whether the market goes lower, or if any particular stock holds up.....so many good targets of opportunity.......I'll just buy more LEAPs, 100 contracts at a time, to celebrate every further 100-point downmove in the Nasdaq......I guess I've turned bullish, when did this happen?........LOL, maybe I've become my nemesis, the Permabull........no, I only get really bullish at times like now, and October 1998.......the other 98% of the time I worry about overvaluation......buying now, in the face of FearUncertaintyandDoubt, that's how to get rich.....buy now, when everyone is pulling money out of stock mutual funds......sell back to them, in one or two or three years, when inflows into stock mutual funds hits 20, 40, 60B/month.
